Out of Hours information
If you need medical help outside of our surgery hours, telephone us on either 282600 or 282700 and listen to the answerphone message carefully. This will inform you of the correct service to contact which
will change depending on the time that you require the help.
Out of Hours Care
When We Are Closed (6pm – 8am on weekdays, all day Saturdays and Sundays weekends and Public Holidays) please telephone 111 who will put you in touch with the appropriate service.
In the case of urgent need, when the practice is closed, you can alsocall 111 to obtain advice. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered and / or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Urgent Care Centre
Your local Urgent Care Centre is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week including weekends and bank holidays. The address is University Hospital of Hartlepool, Holdforth Road, Hartlepool TS24 9AH.
For emergencies between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, please telephone the surgery on 01429 282700. Weekends and out of hours care are now covered by the NHS 111 service.
If you require advice or assistance during this period, please telephone 01429 282600 or 282700 and listen to the recorded message carefully.
111 is the direct number for the NHS 111 service. Calls to NHS 111 are free from both landlines and mobiles. However, if you have a severe or life threatening emergency you will still need to dial 999.
Complaints and Comments
We have an informal complaints procedure and are willing to discuss any problems or concerns you may have with the service you receive. If you have a complaint please contact the Practice Manager, either
verbally or in writing and the practice will resolve the complaint for you. However, If you feel that your complaint cannot be dealt with satisfactorily in the practice, then you can contact Healthwatch Hartlepool on 01429 262641. Also, if you wish to complain about the care received by the practice, but do not wish to follow the local complaints process, you can contact the following:
